Eh, I was attracted to thi splace because of its location and menu. I’m a big fan of skate and I noticed that they offered it. It wasn’t what I had expected and it wasn’t completely inedible, but it could’ve been better. I also came here for brunch a few times and it’s pretty much uniform with that. Decent, but not spectacular. Prices are fair and even with the mediocre food, I’d still come back.

100 W Houston (West Village/SoHo border) — This is a strong statement, but I mean it: Jane has the best French Toast (only served Sundays) that I have ever tasted. How can you go wrong with heaps of Vanilla Creme Brulee infused into the french toast batter? Very good crab benedict, too. I’m sure the other things are good, and I hear they have a good dinner, but I can’t go unless that French Toast is on the menu. Call ahead and book.
