there isn’t anything fancy about jimmy john’s sandwiches, but they manage to taste so fresh i enjoy coming here every now and then.

there are a number of sandwich places in chicago now, and j.j. is probably my 2nd favorite place (potbelly’s being my most favorite).

Jimmy John’s is a decent alternative to larger sandwich chains like Subway and Quizno’s.

The prices for the sandwiches are fairly inexpensive, and the sandwiches themselves are simple and straightforward. I like their focus on fresh, quality ingredients.

What I like the best about Jimmy John’s is the personality of the chain. They try really hard to differentiate from the other sandwich chains with an edgier and more humorous attitude towards themselves. What does this edginess have to do with sandwich quality? Not much – but at least it makes dining in a bit more interesting.

There’s nothing fancy about Jimmy John’s. There’s no sandwich toasting or super fancy bread. It’s just good solid sandwiches. It’s exactly what you need if you’re craving a sandwich and don’t want to pay $8 at a fancier sandwich stop (unless you get the JJ, which is worth its weight in meat).

The people are friendly and the service is fast. They deliver too, but I haven’t tried it yet.
