From its casual yet sophisticated atmosphere to its impeccable service, Johannes delivers. Above all though, it is the fantastic food that keeps Johannes at the top of my list of favorites. The chef brings his European background and his experience in Asian cuisine to a perfect blend. This is truly world cuisine. The ingredients are fresh and the menu changes with the seasons. Especially talented in sauces and glazes, he combines and blends wonderful ingredients and comes up with amazing flavors. The duck in plum sauce is fantastic. With each course you have choices that are difficult to make. Everything sounds so good. The soups are hearty and flavorful, the salads fresh and imaginative (Try the roasted beet with goat cheese ,walnuts, micro greens and a vinagrette.) and the appetizers are varied and delicious. The dessert menu offers bread pudding and apple struedel among other classic desserts. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly and there is a vast and varied wine selection. From the escargot to the strudel, Johannes is the hot spot for foodies.
