1.0We bought two pies from Johnny Ray’s for Thanksgiving — they cost $20 each.
I’ve never been so disappointed in all my life, the meringue was like that sweet goo that you buy in a can and the filling and crust wasn’t much better.
I’ve had better pies from WalMart for $5.
If you want to know what a pie should taste like, drive to Decatur Alabama and have a pie at Bob Gibsons — you’ll get a real homemade pie, with real meringue and made from scratch filling.
The only good thing I can say is that what little we did eat, is that it din’t make us sick.
Don’t ever buy a pie from Johnny Ray’s.
