Good Food, Good Atmosphere

The restaurant is trendy looking with very warm lighting, great atmosphere for social gatherings or dates. The food tasted fabulous, however its quite pricey if you go there for dinner. My husband and I received our main courses about 15 minutes apart, which I wasn’t too happy with but the flavor of the food was great and everything was fresh. The portions are very small for the main courses, so if your looking to get full, make sure you order apetizers before hand. Sushi was also fresh and made to order with great presentation.

Dishes I tried:

Black + Blue (beef and eggplant)

Very tender, excellent sauce but very tiny portions. I’m a small woman, and I ate it up in 3 bites sadly..

my husband had the braised lamb, it was good, but served long after I received and ate my main course HIs meal came with 2 small pieces of broccoli (for vegetable side) and two small squares of mashed sweet potatoes. He claims it tasted great. I enjoyed how the were creative with the combinations of food at this restaurant, but it wasn’t enough for me to want to spend that kind of money again for so little food. I may go back again, but the next visit will be for just a small snack

It's got the look, but...

This is my 3rd time here, but first time for lunch. The lunch combo prices were average ($9 for 2-items), but the quantity was definitely much less.

I did enjoy my salad. The dressing tasted fresh and homemade, and they used mixed greens. Presentation was of course fabulous, but I wasn’t wowed by the food.

I chose the salmon sashimi and the fried scallop skewer. I only received 3 pieces of sashimi, salad, rice, and 2 skewers.

worth a try? maybe....

New japanese fusion restaurant on El Camino has a decor worthy of being on Santana Row but the food is just decent.

I will need to return here to test the sushi rolls. Update to come when I return.

Service was good.

I had the tuna sashimi and the chicken. The tuna tasted quite normal until i saw a hair on one of them. The chef promptly gave me a new meal so I was satisfied. Despite the snafu, i believe the restaurant was clean and deserves another chance.

Looks good, tastes okay

With a selection in the Bay Area that includes Tanto, Gochi, and Yume-Ya, this place is not worth coming to. It’s expensive and not impressive. The decor is nice, though.

This restaurant is a mixed bag. The food was good. The various sushi’s we ordered was fresh and the various meat dishes (lamb chops and beef tenderloin) were nicely done juicy and tender.

Unfortunately the service wasn’t quite up to par. Our order got lost somewhere in the process, so we had to wait about 45 mins, but they gave us some free edamame.

The atmosphere is quite nice, especially since it is in an old Carrow’s. The location for this restaurant isn’t the best in sleepy Sunnyvale. It would be a good place for gatherings and drinks, but it isn’t open that late, and well there’s that location thing again.

Great presentation, food is not bad, but a bit pricey

Due to the fact that it’s located on El Camino in the not-so-happening city of Sunnyvale, this place is hardly crowded on the weekdays. Haven’t had a chance to visit on the weekends yet. The decor is pretty modern and impressive. Bathrooms are even worth checking out too! Food presentation is picture-taking worthy. Taste is pretty unique with lots on the menu to choose from. Only complaints are that I’ve had better sushi and it may get a bit pricey.
