Sadly I’ve only eaten here once (I’m ashamed to admit), but this is by far the best restaurant I have ever experienced by multiple standard deviations. The ‘bar’ with artichokes and caviar was the single geatest dish I have ever eaten in my entire life. The chef Bernard Pacaud is a perfectionist genius. My ex-girlfriend had the lamb which was just indescribable . . . so incredibly perfect. Just check out what people have to say about this place on various food blogs. You don’t want to die without eating here.
Btw, I couldn’t help notice on this season’s Top Chef when they split into two teams of four and competed as makeshift restaurants, one of the team members wanted to name his restaurant “Ambrosia.” I thought . . . “dude, I don’t think you wanna do that.”
It would, however, be fun to watch Pacaud go on Iron Chef “Anywhere” and obliterate anyone they put against him.
