Larry’s is a local institution. They just finished another renovation. Their breakfast buffet is legendary. It’s a pretty good deal and they keep the food fresh. We have enjoyed that on several Sunday mornings after church.
The rest of their menu is adequate but nothing stellar. Sandwiches, pastas, and the like. I have not had a bad meal there, but little gets one excited.
The one thing that particularly bothers me about Larry’s is how they price large parties. Larry’s is a favorite to have staff functions like end-of-the-school-year breakfasts. It always costs me more to attend those events than if I showed up as a regular customer. That is not how restaurants normally price functions. It bothers me to no end that I have skipped some events. No, it has not been the schools adding to the cost of the event.
Because of that, we have not been to Larry’s in a while.

08/22/2008I had an event there recently and when I compared their standard menu with their regular restaurant menu I also saw that their party menu was a couple dollars more. I asked them about this and they explained that the party menu was priced that way because they do not charge a room rental fee and setting up the buffet required additional personell.
