Loaf and Ladle is by far my Favorite local restaurant. They specialize in fresh, homemade, soups and breads. Food is served cafeteria style.
None of their soups suffer from “brothism”; They are all heaping with substance. the taste brings me back to what mom used to make— absolutely amazing.
Portions are extremely generous, a cup of soup and a half a sandwich are more than enough for the average adult. If I had to choose one word to describe the food, it would be “clean”. One taste, and you can tell the food is free of “funny business”.
This is not the sort of place to visit if your looking for a fancy sit down dinner, however if you’re looking for a quick lunch, or an easy meal with friends, this is definitely a winner.
Very tasty. This dish is Full of veggies. All are cooked to perfection, nothing is mushy or to soft. Being chili, this soup packed a surprising, although not overwhelming amount of heat. I would definitely recommend it, weather seeking vegetarian fair or not.

The soups are the best in town. I haven't tried many other things there besides the soup and quiche which are the best quiches I've ever had as well. Very tasty food!
