Despite having dined in numerous high-end, foodie recommended, restaurants between Chicago and Milwaukee, and while traveling, Luigi’s is my hometown treaure. The place I choose for special occasions with family, after really challenging weeks at work, or when I want a taste of home. I love the food, the atmosphere, the staff, the conviviality of the other diners, the home-ness of Luigi’s.
My favorite flavor from Luigi’s is the red sauce, smooth and meatless, with haunting notes of green pepper and a slightly spicy finish making all the dishes it adorns sublime. They don’t cook chopped meat in the sauce like Mama’s at home do so it can be enjoyed by my vegetarian nephew, while they add huge meatballs to most of the dishes unless you ask for without. My favorite items are the cheese ravioli (6-8 huge one’s to a dinner) and crinkle cut fries dipped in the sauce, simple spaghetti w/meatballs and dinner salads. Homemade soups are always nice as well. I used to order, without fail, the stuffed peppers, which were perfection, but lately are looser than before and not as satisfying.
The restaurant is extremely family friendly, the staff all like surrogate family and long-time employees with pride of place and concern that you have a wonderful experience emanating from each of them. Luann has been a server there since I can remember and now her daughter Megan is also. I love them both and the sense of continuity small-town, family friendly Kenosha offers in this wonderful Italian restaurant. Enjoy!

I can smell the pizza from my house! I have eaten their pizza, and dined on their chicken / meatballs, deep fried veggie baskets, and mojo potatoes (have i forgotten anything). Every thing is delicious, and very generous portions. I am a return customer, and seldom eat any where else, except on Mondays, when they are closed….sigh…
Their pizza’s (cheese, meat, sauce, dough) are genuine. Real food. We are repeat customers.
