Its beauty will lure you in, food almost a catch
Though located in a basement off a SoHo sidewalk, it’s hard to miss due to many street level windows looking in. After a few hours traipsing around the SoHo shops, a nice place to stop in for a bite.
Decore/Ambiance: Beautifully designed and put together with lots of high-gloss wood and leather, comes off with a warm retro-yacht-club-type effect. Not at all kitschy. Good for either groups or a date. Crowd is very yuppie.
Service: Best service I’ve had in a long long time, from the waitress to the busboys.
Overall, a good restaurant that’s a bit pricey for the quality of the food. But the little things (e.g., service, dining experience, warm bread) make it worth coming back for.
-
crispy blue point oysters
Fresh, very tasty, not too oily.
-
Steamed Branzino
Perfect consistency, delicate flavor. Comes with ponzu, scallions, ginger, and oyster mushrooms.
-
Grilled wahoo
Dry, short on flavor without enough soy-ginger marinade.
-
Lure House roll
Sounded good with spicy big eye tuna and shrimp tempura, but was average in flavor and very small for the price.

Decent meal
Since it was a cold night and I didn’t feel like walking any further, I tried this restaurant out. This turned out to be a pleasant meal.
Pros: excellent service- very attentive, warm flavorful bread, excellent cocktails/specialty drinks, wide variety of fish
Cons: Slightly on the pricier side in comparison to the portions served.
Would definitely try again (perhaps the oyster and sushi bar next time)

Grilled wahoo
Soy-ginger marinade was great. But once you run out of it, you’re left with tasteless fish.
-

-
