Authentic Thai flavors (avoid the Chinese dishes). Not nearly as hip as Rambutan but booths are comfy and at half the price. Sorry, no fancy soju cocktails here. Even “mild” (1 on the 1-to-5 chilies Bangkok street stall scale) is pretty spicy. You’ll notice that most of the 127 items on their takeout menu have the CHILI icon next to them. (Yes, they deliver for free, within 3 miles). Favorite dishes after 3 visits: Som tam/papaya salad (ส้มตำ, #36); eggplant salad (#106) and crab noodles (#78), with real meat, no krab. Gotta love that they serve Red Bull as a Thai iced tea and toddy palm drink alternative. The family that runs the place is a joy.
