5.0Wow, Mt. Airy has a great new restaurant called Mamma Angela. While somewhat hard to find, (It’s behind the McDonald’s) I stopped in for lunch one day and had a couple of slices of pizza. Unlike the chain type pizzas, this was without a doubt some of the best pizza that I have had in a long time. Great flavor , great crust, truly delicious! I have since begun order and pickup (they don’t deliver) when the family is in the mood for pizza. I have also tried a number of their other pasta dishes which I would give a A+. I would highly recommend the formaggi pizza. There is plenty of seating, All in all I believe this is a great place to take the family to eat.

4.0This is a new Italian casual place, dine in or take out, pizza, pasta, subs, etc…but a big step above the usual pizza fare. when I saw they had tres formaggi on the menu, I knew this was not Pizza Hut, or even J&P. Everything has been great…the viggie pizza, the trei formaggi, the eggplant, the artichoke, basil, and chicken, the spinich and chicken…all great. The subs and pasta look good.
Two drawbacks…they are still very slow (only been open a month), so if you call in an order, ignore the ‘15 minutes’, it will be 45. And when you dine in, you go up and order, get your own silver, etc, and they will give you a # and bring your food. It’s confusing because it doesn’t say that anywhere. :)
A welcome entry to the MT siry dining exp and worth a trip! Watch out, Lido’s!
all excellent, one warning they use green peppers, not the red roasted ones on the menu.

4.0The wife and I have been searching for a good NY style pizza since we moved here 3 years ago. Almost every pizza joint we’ve tried in Carroll County thinks that pizza is made with a undercooked, chewy lump of bread with ragu sauce on top.
Fortunately for us, Mama Angela’s knows how to make great NY style pizza. Thin crispy crust, excellent sauce, and real mozzarella.
We’ve tried a couple of dinner items, veal parm, penne vodka, chicken marcella, and have enjoyed every one.
Nice atmosphere, fair prices, nice sized servings, and gelato for desert. We will continue to support Mama Angela’s with our business and you should give them a try as well.

5.0We’ve been there over a dozen times in the last year, lunches, dinners, with large groups, sometimes just the two of us. Every time… fantastic food, great taste, quality, friendly servers. Bright, Clean tables and floors, fun servers – very reasonable prices. Great italian quisine. This is not a formal restaurant – casual relaxed eating. Specials posted daily. Some discounted lunch specials before 2pm… quality has never suffered from the discount. Pizza is the best in town! Enjoy this place before it becomes too crowded!
Great flavor, large quantity. Enjoyed.
Crisp, fresh, generous. Will order again.
Fresh, quality meats, fresh add-ons, great flavor. Came with chips and pickled. Will order again.
The best! Hot, generous sauce, meaty meatballs, fresh sub, the accompaning salad was fresh, large, Great combo!

4.0Nice, friendly and enlighting atmosphere. Owner, Michael respectful nice man. Food is all around fantastic! I have not yet tried one dish or pizza I haven’t liked. The wait sometimes gets backed up when busy, but still always worth the wait. I’d love to see the business grow bigger as time comes.
