I was abhorred by the service at “Mama V’s” and all of my fellow collegaues at Gettysburg College agree with me.

My experience started on a Friday night with a friend of mine. We ordered two entrees and I got a single crab cake dinner. I took a bite out of the cake and then realized the waitress made a mistake and gave me a double crab cake dinner. I asked the waitress if she heard me say I wanted a single not a double. She said it was her fault, because the menu’s recently changed. (Not a big deal.. but then..)

This is when it started. It wasnt a big deal (single or double) to me but she came back and asked for me to give the crab cake back. I thought nothing of it (because if they want it back, fine) so I gave it to her on a plate. Then she came again and gave it back to me and said “my manager said to give this to you becuase you already ate it.” How insulting! First they ask for the cake back but then they give it back to me.

I was insulted and confused so I ask to speak to the manager. The front manager, Christine, came out dressed with piercings and a revealing tank top. I asked her why she decided to do what she did. She was so rude and she said that “Well, I know you dont want to be charged for two crab cakes so I wanted to verify whether you ate the cake or not”. At that point, I had had enough. When I asked for her manager, she said “she dont speak english.” Then I told her that I was experienced in the restaurant industry and that I feel really offended by her treatment.

This is the worst. She replied “Well, then just dont come back here then.”

My friend and I paid the bill and promptly left the site.

What a horrifying experience. Oh by the way, the manager Chrisitine had the nerve to go outside and conduct unscrupulous practices with her male friend right as we left the restaurant.
