Marche is on the restaurant row in the West Loop. Marche offers creative brasserie-style French cuisine in a club like setting. The ambiance is very chic and hip, our waitress had a cool “accessory” purse to carry her orders around. The service is very good… my boyfriend and I decided to split everything and were blown away when all of our selections were served on separate plates, they even split our glass of wine into two.

Mondays and Wednesdays $25 fix price menu is a bargain. You can choose ANY appetizer, ANY entree, and ANY desert, even though you might be full. Don’t miss it. Extensive french wine list. Our waitress was the most friendly I’ve ever had in Chicago by far.

My friends and I decided to take advantage of the price-fixed deal that they had, so we each got appetizer/salad/soup, entree and dessert. I had the roasted beet w/ goat cheese and candied walnuts salad, striped bass for my main course and the mango/white chocolate frozen souffle. Granted nothing tasted bad, everything tasted okay actually, but that’s just it—everything was just okay. Even the dessert did not wow me, it was basically just mango ice cream.

I really wanted to like this place but I’d rather go someplace else. I’d recommend trying this place once and seeing for yourself but I doubt you’ll be wowed by it.
