The place is very congested. The raisins in Vegetable Biryani were over roasted! The rice was very sticky ! Garlic was over burnt on the garlic naan making it taste very bitter and almost non-eatable. Never even try to taste Alu tikki ! We could smell the use of overburnt oil ! Overall a very wrong place to experience the authentic Indian food.

I live in Princeton, and flip flop between Mehek and Masala Grill. (Completely avoiding the very greasy Kalluri Corner.) Both places have benefits and drawbacks. On it’s BEST day, Masala grill is better than Mehek, but Masala also has some bad days and Mehek is more consistently above-middle-of-the-road. Mehek has a pleasing dining room and great service. They are very friendly and the food is good. When you walk in it smells delicious – which is a huge perk for Indian food, which can sometimes smell oily. To note, Mehek also has a downstairs takeout counter with already-prepared food – a meal is about $8 and is great and super-quick. The restaurant takeout is also prepared in the time they tell you (unlike the OTHER Indian, which usually takes about 45 min after they told you 20 . . .)
