Memphis Pizza Cafe has been voted the best pizza in Memphis from 1994 to 2008, and there’s a good reason for that: they make the best darn pizza in Memphis, TN.
Regardless of which location you go to, you’re going to get excellent pizza with a crust that’s not too thick, not too thin, and covered with high-grade toppings and quality sauce. In addition to pizza, Memphis Pizza Cafe also serves sandwiches, salads, and calzones.
Of all the locations, the one on Madison in Midtown is the best. Service can be a little slow sometimes, so budget an extra 5-15 minutes than you might normally. As this is the eclectic Midtown area of Memphis, staff tend to also be a little on the eclectic side—and that’s not a bad thing. This location is also far more likely to play alternative music, but “tasteful” alternative so young ears won’t hear things parents might not want them to hear.
The Madison location has a patio out back which is ideal for dining when the weather is nice and, since it is partially covered, also a great place to eat when it’s raining.
Central to pretty much any of the entertainment venues in midtown and not too far away from downtown, the Madison Ave. location is ideal for grabbing a meal before or after another event—or just for lunch or as an occasion in and of itself.
