In 1998, the Gerber Group opened the Whiskey Bar & Grill at the Sutton Place Hotel introducing their unique brand of chic and sexy nightlife to Chicago. Nine years later, the Whiskey Bar & Grill has undergone a reinvention in partnership with pioneer of Modern Mexican cuisine and Bon Appetit Restaurateur of the Year, Chef Richard Sandoval to open Mexx Kitchen at The Whiskey. Located on the ground floor of the Sutton Place Hotel, Chef Sandoval’s authentic modern Mexican cuisine will feature a wide range of options including traditional fare, authentic Latin, and Mexican cuisine with a modern twist.

In synergy with Chef Sandoval’s cuisine, acclaimed theatrical designer Charles Infante created a unique interpretation of a traditional Mexican theme evoking hints of deep-rooted Latin archetypes with a sophisticated edge for both the restaurant and bar.
