I have dined pretty regularly at Milano’s (being that it’s probably the best food without having to go to Albemarle. It’s clean and tidy with decent service, but don’t expect innovative Italian: this place is STRICTLY old-school Italian American, but good for what it is. In other words, no “Al-Dente” pasta, more likely pretty overcooked w/ overly sweet Marinara (probably just out of the jar.
BUT, it’s consistent: you know what to expect and portions are generous. It’s a good, local stand-by. Go for pizza rather than pasta and skip the sandwiches.
The crust could be better (thinner, crispier, more authentic) but toppings are VERY good. The sliced Pepperoncini peppers make it!
