On a hot summer Saturday I went to Mitchell’s to try the hype. There were sixty people outside and I waited an hour. It was definitely worth it! I tried the Mexican Chocolate which was very good, but a little too cinnamony on first taste and the peanut butter which overwhelmed with peanuty butteryness, but for my actual purchase I got chocolate caramel crackle. Wow! It was creamier than any ice cream I’ve ever tasted and definitely had all the indescribable qualities necessary to make it seem worth waiting an hour.

The people outside were very chatty, so the long waits can also be a good way to meet people.

Last time I went the wait wasn’t too bad. Wasn’t the best icecream I ever had, but it was good and selection was equally impressive. I need to go again next time I’m in Noe.

Great staff with really good sense of humor. Rum raisen ice cream all year long…that’s the way it should be! (unlike Swensen’s where they treat it like it’s only for the Christmas holiday season).
