Summary: With its dark wood details, celebrity photos and tuxedo-clad waiters, this upscale steakhouse chain has the air of a posh men's club. Service is professional and discreet, with bartenders making a mean martini. Dinners begin with a waiter-driven cart laden with fresh vegetables, live lobster and cuts of steak; customers choose from porterhouse, rib-eye, bone-in prime rib and more. Side dishes are traditional and enormous, from baked potatoes and creamed spinach to steamed broccoli with hollandaise.

Morton's The Steakhouse, the nation's premier steakhouse group, specializes in classic, hearty fare, serving generous portions of USDA prime aged beef, as well as fresh fish, lobster and chicken entrees. Morton's is famous for its animated signature tableside menu presentation: steaks, whole Maine lobsters and other main course selections, along with fresh vegetables, are presented on a cart rolled to your table, where the server displays and describes each menu item in appetizing and entertaining detail. The menu, which is the same at all locations, features a variety of favorite cuts, including a 24 ounce porterhouse, which is the house specialty; a 20 ounce New York sirloin and a 14 ounce double cut filet. Every Friday and Saturday nights, enjoy our famous slow roasted Prime Rib. Morton's Prime Rib is a double cut, served bone-in and roasted to a perfect medium rare. Famous for their steaks, the waiter brings out individual cuts of steaks (raw, of course), to explain their house specialty. The steaks are usually cooked to perfection, as you want it (which mean, medium rare—is ACTUALLY medium rare). There’s no way one can finish a steak, so usually people take home leftovers. Here’s the interesting part: the steaks taste just as good when you heat it up at home, as it does in the restaurant. Also try their chocolate cake…a slice can feed at least 5. It comes with a steak knife in the center.

As far as steakhouse chains go, this isn’t too bad. Pushed to the wire I would probably rather eat at Smith and Wollensky’s, but the veggie sides and salads are really well done.
