16 August 2008 – Table for 6 adults and 2 children.
Spectacular views over Brisbane added bonus of seeing the fireworks of Brisbane’s Ekka.
Service – slow – recognised by staff by bringing complimentary breads and reducing the bill by removing the two entrees ordered and giving free coffee after complaining that the meals were lukewarm. They did offer free deserts however had bought a cake to celebrate my mum’s 60th birthday and given the sour taste left by the poor quality of meal we did not have this.
Cannot recommend this restaurant which was full and it is evident that they cannot cope providing meals to smaller tables.
Grilled Wagu Rump Steak – cold. This wasn’t limited to just one meal but to 5 ordered at the table. Also two wagu beef were set incorrectly at the table with one person ordering a well-done getting a medium rare and the other person wanting medium rare getting well done. The waiter indicated to each person that they had the correct meal.
Large brick like steak served lukewarm on a tiny amount of sauteed diced potatoes – didn’t see any green peas, no bacon, small serving of caramelised onion compote and red wine reduction.
