Nakama is a fun place to eat. The atmosphere is young and trendy and as a result, the place is almost always packed. You should make reservations and still be prepared to wait. Parking anywhere in the South Side is a bit of a nightmare, but at least Nakama has valet.

The hibachi is good and you leave feeling very full. The cooks are also very entertaining. It is a really nice place to eat with a group of friends. As for the sushi…it is FANTASTIC but expensive. I really only go there when meeting a group of people as the crowd and parking hassles are not worth it for a dinner with just one or two people. Nice to take put of town people there to give them a taste of the young, trendy scene in the ’burgh.

This place is great for a good time. It is trendy and packed – always. Make a reservation. If you have people in from out of town, this is a great spot. It is lively and young and fun AND the food is good. The hibachi is better than what you get at a Benihana. The sushi is also excellent and the separate sushi bar is always packed three deep. Their miso and ginger salad are great and the chefs are entertaining for the most part. If you can handle the crowd you will not be disappointed in Nakama.
