I have been dining at New York Style for 14 years. During my single life, I was such a frequent diner all I had to do was call and I was asked, “The usual?”
The usual is cheesesteak stromboli. When the dough is fresh, it is top-notch. The large is enough for a family of four. Handmade and made to order, these are big and tasty, not to mention, reasonably priced. The Italian stromboli is also tasty. We order this occasionally for a
change of pace.
For years we relied upon delivery. Delivery is prompt and courteous. More and more we either dine at the restaurant or pick up. They have worked to make the restaurant a pleasant atmosphere. It definitely fits in with the downtown Millville feel.
While stromboli is what we order most of the time, the pizza here is good too. I would not classify it as great, but for Millville, it is good.
We have had some sandwiches and sides over the years. All have been fine. The mozzarella sticks are frozen with a pre-made sauce. Nothing spectacular.
The only issue I have with New York Style is that sometimes older dough is used. When it is, the crust on the stromboli is unpleasant. We have not complained, but it does keep us from ordering at off times. We are very much Friday and Saturday evening folks so as to increase the liklihood of fresher dough.
