Nirvanafan1, the Owner, says:

There is that dimension where there is neither earth, nor water, nor fire, nor wind; neither dimension of the infinitude of space, nor dimension of the infinitude of consciousness, nor dimension of nothingness, nor dimension of neither perception nor non-perception; neither this world, nor the next world, nor sun, nor moon. And there, I say, there is neither coming, nor going, nor stasis; neither passing away nor arising; without stance, without foundation, without support. -Buddha, on NirvanaNirvana is not a heavenly abode that one goes to. Nirvana is a mindset that one exists in. So whether it’s the department break for lunch or dinner for two; whether it’s a hunger for curry or a thirst for lassi; whether you dine in, or take away, our food assures that you take away the peace of mind that comes with only the perfect blend of spices, at the perfect Nirvana.

BEWARE

Very nice atmosphere and service was excellent, BUT my first visit entailed having to squash a 2 inch waterbug (cockroach??) in the ladies room and both my date and I winding up with severe intestinal distress in the wee hours following our dinner there. Also, the menu they give out on the street is 2-3 dollars less expensive than if you eat in the dining room. It ended up costing over $90 for two people w/ one glass of wine each. WOULD NOT GO BACK.

The Best Ever

I guess the previous reviewer is Deepack himself from the restaurant next to Nirvana. But anyway that Deepacks restaurant is now closed, you would wonder why!!!… Nirvana has rescued Murray Hill, it is the cleanist Indian restaurants I have ever been to, you know a good restaurant if the have clean restrooms. The place is so classy I should have dressed a lil better, the food is awsooommee… the lamb chops are to die for. By far one of the best places I have been to.

Dishes I tried:

Lamb Chops
