2.0located on the 2nd floor of the park hyatt on michigan ave., i went to NoMi w/sky-high expectations, hoping that i was in for some impeccable of everything.
sadly, i found my experience at NoMi to be grossly disappointing. the food & presentation were better than just good, but nothing mind-blowing or wow! ing. i was disappointed w/the service – cold, snooty – it put a real damper on the tone of the dining experience altogether.
on a good note, one of the appealing qualities about NoMi is the view of the Mag Mile, which i unfortunately didn’t get to experience, but i’m sure it would’ve been awesome.
(make reservations amply in advance to request a window seat).
overall, a very negative experience at NoMi. i have no plans of returning here again…ever.
well-prepared, beautifully presented food, but the portions run on the small side and won’t be filling enough if you’re a big eater.

5.0I guess I can’t really give this place an accurate review because I went during a special Thanksgiving dinner. However the food was on point and the service was unbelievable. The pate’ was incredibly creamy and fragrant. There was a choice of main dishes including Chilean bass and a “traditional” Thanksgiving turkey. I use the quotation marks because it was actually cooked in a very non-traditional manner. It was marinated and vacuum sealed for 24 hours and then cooked, still in the bag, in boiling water gently for a few hours. This resulted in the most flavorful and moist turkey i’d ever had. It was paired with a delicious curry / cranberry relish and a corbread stuffing that was honestly a little lackluster.
Dessert was a soufle’ that was in all honesty orgasmic. The wine list was terrific and the staff knowledgeable about pairings. The dining areas are intimate and really do encourage good conversation. Great place to have a great bottle of wine, a great meal, and a great 2 or 3 hours

4.0AMAZING. I had a foie brulee, foie & black truffles, brulee on top with hazelnuts. YUM, also had morels that tasted unbelievable and for my entree seared scallops with crispy sweet breads. Dessert was so delicious as well!
