We attended for a lunch christmas work gathering. Maybe things have changed since the last few reviews. Ambience ok (a little cold), food not great, but service here well below par. When making reservations, had to call back twice to get information re: parking validation (“we don’t know, call back later”). No hostess to show us to the table. Surly and rushed service. Drink orders never taken, water never refilled. All 7 orders were wrong. Food was cold. When we politely complained, the manger/part owner was indifferent and rude, and had to be pressed for any kind of compensation. Unpleasant experience – enough for me to write my first review on this site.

I love Opus. They used to have the chef’s tasting menu available all the time. But now it’s Tuesdays and Wednesdays by reservations only. It’s worth all the trouble. The portions are small, but the food is amazing.

The food is good.. BUT EXPENSIVE.. and small portions.. but the drinks are yummy (if you order the lychee martini, hopefully the person makes it well that day.. somedays it’s good others are really bad)

Best bang for the buck for high end dinning. They charged $10 per course, and we ordered 5 courses but we had 8 courses at the end with all the comp stuff. The wine pairing was surprising good, they paired wines that were just ok on their own real well with the food. Our waitress Alexis was very friendly and the I also like the cool yet relax atmosphere. Perfect for special occasion, but even a la carte menu was very very reasonable (entree $12-$25).
