Don’t get me wrong, P.F. Chang’s is very tasty with a lot of great dishes, but there’s something about the place that bothers me.

It might be that it’s absolutely packed every time I go. If you are planning on going for dinner on ANY night of the week, be sure to call in advance and make a reservation. The wait time can easily climb to over an hour—I’ve even seen TWO hours—during peak dinner times.

It might be that the waitstaff is consistently lukewarm. They’re not particularly knowledgeable about the food, they’re not particularly friendly and even once they forgot to deliver our food to our table!

It might be that the trendy atmosphere thinly veils the fact that P.F. Chang’s is a pre-prepared food chain restaurant (although sometimes I think I’m the only one who notices, considering how packed it is all the time).

But I will admit… although it’s always packed, the waitstaff are dull, and it feels like a pre-packaged setup… the food is really darn good.
