Def. a must do for brunch. Their eggs benny is one of best in city w/pulled pork debris in carmelized onion gravy atop cheddar biscuits and covered in oyster tasso hollandaise (especially at only 18 or $19) and the lyonaisse fish (potato encrusted with poached eggs ontop and citrus hollandaise) is best around. Consistently rated top 3 for turtle soup (brennan’s blend of ground turtle, ground beef, ground veal).
Don’t do steak, go for game or fish
Great 3-pepper crusted duck, andouille crusted gulf fish, and if veal or rabbit is on menu u can bet with Darin Nesbit it’s a safe bet.

I love this place.

I love this place it is always very good! If you go at certain time and what you want is not on the menu just contact them because they will make it happen. I went when my favorite Crab Claws Bordelaise was not on the menu. I called and they said no problem we can make you that!

I love the Crab Claws Bordelaise, turtle soup, and the catfish pecan!

Dishes I tried:

3.5 stars. I’m underprivileged and this may be the only Brennan’s joint I’ve ever been to. That being said, it still might not be worth the money, but it’s still a classy place with good food. I’m not a fun of bread pudding, but their White Chocolate Bread Pudding is really good.

I’m not much of Tuna eater so I barely remember if mine was good or not.

It’s part of the hallowed Brennan’s group, but you’re better off sampling the best somewhere else. he one thing it’s good for is getting classic Brennan’s dishes like their turtle soup or bread pudding, but the rest of their menu definitely doesn’t hold up. Meat wasn’t cooked as well as it could have been and it’s unbelievably noisy inside, with bad service. I felt like I was at a cheescake bistro…without the cheescake! My guess is that its Canal St. location belies its status as more of a tourist trap than anything.

Much Better Places in the French Quarter

Went for the Sunday Brunch and was disappointed. Service was bad, food was cold, not worth the money. With so many good restaurants in New Orleans and nearby in the French Quarter, I'm surpised they keep open.

"Good" Food, Bad Front of House

Our experience at Palace Cafe was not the dining experienced promised that can be surprising in three simple and reasonable points: 1. The front of house was incredibly rude upon entry into the restaurant. Instead of being welcomed with a…
