This is a tiny japanese bakery and they make the best cream puffs i’ve ever had! Yes, I’ve had Beard Papa cream puffs but I think these are slightly better. They are made so delicately and look perfect, they are a must try. They have two flavors, regular and black sesame. Mmmm both are delicious! What makes them stand out is the cream is very light and fluffy, and the outer part of the puff is crunchy.

The now famous beard papa puffs are known for their freshness and variety of fillings. However, they are not the only choice when it comes to satisfying your cream puff craving.

Much like Beard, Chantilly’s puffs are freshly made the minute you order them, but this is where the similarities end.

Chantilly’s resident puff artisan carefully pipes a light cream into crisp flaky puffs, whereas Beard chooses to mechanically inject a load of cold dense cream into a soft elastic puff. This results in two different mouth-feels with Chantilly feeling more like a whipped cream and the Beard more like a custard.

In terms of presentation, Chantilly has Beard beat. Each Chantilly puff is carefully transfered from the kitchen to the service area on a cute tray, where it is weighed to ensure you’re getting enough cream for your buck, carefully wrapped, and placed in a nice box for transport.
