I love pho restaurants. I’ve been eating pho for over 10 years. when I was 7 my parents stumbled into a pho near huntington beach, and I had my first taste of pho. I’v loved it ever since. My mouth would water every time it see pictures of the food or think of it.
I’ve been to this pho for about 2 years now, I come on the average of 10 times a month, about 80 times a year. Its almost as if I’m addicted to it.
Its within walking distance of my college (Irvine Valley), bus trip less than 10 mins from walnut plaza.
For new people who want to try pho foods, I highly recommend the North Vietnamese #1 Special (its on the front of the menu). Its about $6 (reg, 7 for large). I’ve been there so much to the point that I know that the best time to have lunch is before 11:30a or after 1:35p. Between the two times, the restaurant is jam-packed and service sorta degrades when its that packed. The wait of the meal increases from 7 mins to (up to) 25 mins, and usually you will need to wait up to 5-15 mins for a table. Before and after that time, its nearly empty, food comes hot and service is exellent.
One tip for people who love their food very spicy (like me): buy a milk tea boba (or any other milk tea on ther menu) across the street at lolicup. they give a card that gets a free drink every 9 times you visit them. The boba will quicky reduce the spicyness of the food when you’re done eating. It will also reduce the need for drinking alot of water when you want your tongue to stop burning.
