so good...
Just absolutely love it. Pizza is crispy and every ingredient is flavorful. The plain is great with just sauce and a smattering of parm and the basil and artichoke are fresh and usually plentiful. The beer is usually divine, depending on what they have.
Service can be dodgy, but it is a popular place and they are efficient and not overly chatty – excatly what I and any other reasonable person wants. It just sucks to have to go up to the terribly crowded Milwaukee/ Damen vortex.
Also, the price is for pizza and beer, though the pizza is not cheap. But you get what you pay for and it is so worth it.

Awesome Pizza and great Craft Beer
You can’t ask for a better combo … Pizza & Beer!! Piece delivers with great thin crust pizza offering 3 styles, traditional red, new haven plain, and white. The pizza are square or oblong. The crust is amazing, its treated with olive oil and oregano, and parmesan adds a slight saltiness. The beer though, oh the hand crafted brewed beer is oh so good … I highly recommend the Top Heavy Hefeweizen, and the Worry’in Ale.
Dishes I tried:
red
Some of the best dine-in Pizza in Chicago. I like it with black olives, sausage and pepperoni.

Great Cornmeal Crust Pizza
What else is there to say. They have some of the best pizza in a restaurant that is hip and fun to be in. They server both Red and White pizza’s and slice the pizza pie style which I like the best. If you like good thin crust pizza, this a place that you have to try.
They also have their own beer that they brew there that is fantastic.
Dishes I tried:
Large Pizza
You can get it your choice of sauce either white or red. I personally like the red the best. They serve it on a large pan, so it covers the table. Cool stuff.

We Finally Found It
My husband and I are from New England originally, and he not too far from New Haven’s Pepe’s (as in we’d drive an hour and a half to get there). We love a Chicago deep dish now and then, but if you’re missing or want to try the real deal for thin crust, this is the place. The ingredients are fresh and the crust has a nice crisp crunch without being cracker hard like some other thin crust pizzas we’ve run into. And for you Pepe lovers, clams are on the menu. The atmosphere is great, with tons of HDtvs to enjoy and a partially windowed roof that lets the sun shine in. Oh, and it has a real beer selection to boot. Our search is finally over.
Dishes I tried:
Red Pizza with sausage and ricotta
Finger lickin good! The sausage is slightly sweet, and is complemented nicely by the rich (but not heavy) tasting red sauce.

Microbrew Award Winner
I saw a fellow walking down the street with two empty growlers (64 oz. jugs) and followed him into Piece to see what they had. They carry seven home brews on tap at a time. They have won 18 medals at The World Beer Cup, The Great American Beer Festival, and the Real Ale Festival. I chose a growler of Top Heavy Hefeweizen to go. It cost $16. They seal it, and you can bring it back for refills at $12 each of any kind. The extremely large, super thin crust pizzas caught my eye. They look like pizza from Italy. I now what to go back with a group of beer buddies. They do take reservations for groups of 10 or more. The place is lively, a bit loud, a few tvs for sports, and located in a hip, amazing part of the city.
Dishes I tried:
A Growler of Top Heavy Hefeweizen (to go)
The day I walked in they had just found out this won the gold medal at the World Beer Cup. It is described as a great intro to craft-brewed beers. It is a perfect hefeweizen and worth a trip to get it.
