I was driving my teenage daughter home one day, and she was hungry, so I asked my car’s navigator to find nearby restaurants. When I ended up in a business park with just office buildings, I figured it had outdated information. But I looked around anyway to see if there was something hidden, and there was a little restaurant tucked away between the walkways.
The best I could hope for was a place where I could get a decent salad or something that’s actually good for me, and get something that a teenage girl would want.
I ended up getting both, but it didn’t stop there. The food was amazing. The selection and variety were great, and it was anything but your average deli. You can get a gourmet quality meal at a price competitive with most delis. The owner is a real chef, not some fast food guy, and he makes you feel welcome. The area is well maintained and it’s a very pleasant environment.
I never would have gone looking for it, but I’m glad I found it. Places like that usually cater to the people in the adjoining offices who want some place to walk to. In my case, it will be the place I go out of my way to get to when the deli near my office plaza just won’t do.
