A Chinese chowhound from Sacramento, CA tried it.

As good as it sounds...
I like Plum Blossom a lot. It’s the name (Isn’t Plum Blossom such an attractive name for a restaurant?), the food, their customer service and the restaurant as a whole. Customer service here has always been good. Every waitress and waiter I’ve encountered at Plum Blossom has been attentive and attractive. (While not essential, I find it to be a major bonus to receive food from good looking waiters that know the meaning of customer service.)
I found the restaurant to be quite spacious but that could have something to do with the restaurant’s many windows. There was something about the restaurant’s many windows that I liked. With windows surrounding most of the restaurant, you’re able to watch people passing by the restaurant as well as eye your car (that is, if you happened to park near the restaurant). You have the choice to eat outdoors or indoors. The outdoor eating area is right in front of the restaurant.
One of the first things you’ll see when you enter Plum Blossom is a stand dedicated to Chinese baked goods and a cash register. If you see people lining up in front of the stand, they’re either waiting to pay for their bill with a credit card, order for to go or waiting to purchase baked goods. The waiters will recognize that you want to be seated if you’re they’re to dine.
Everything I’ve eaten here was delicious except for their hot and sour soup. (All I know is that I didn’t like it very much. I remember taking it for to go and never finishing it up.)
If you’re eating inside the restaurant, you’ll catch glimpses of the inner workings of their kitchen. I found it to be interesting.
Unfortunately, food here is a bit on the expensive side. Minus their baked goods, the majority of items on their menu are somewhat pricey. The taste of the food lives up to its cost, though. Parking is another issue here. If you’re not familiar with Sacramento, I’m warning you beforehand that you will most likely need to pay for parking. This is basically always the case in midtown and downtown Sacramento. Therefore, always have extra coins/bills with you to pay for parking. Parking during the weekends, in general is free. However, double check with the parking stands and/or parking permit stands. There’s also metered parking next to Plum Blossom. I recommend metered parking only if you’ll be ordering for to go.
Another thing that I like about Plum Blossom are its late operating hours. If you happen to be hungry late in the night, it’s likely that Plum Blossom is still open.
Dishes Tried:
Strawberry Bubble Tea
I’ve had their strawberry bubble tea twice and I admit that it’s good. Expensive, but good. Even though it was on the sweet side, I liked it. This is a good drink to treat yourself to when you have extra money to use on a drink.
Cream Cheese Wontons (8 pcs)
While expensive and probably bad for my health, I liked their cream cheese wontons. But then again, who wouldn’t like cream cheese wontons. I love cream cheese wontons. Crispy, gooey and yummy!
Hot & Sour Soup
I’ve eaten a variety of dishes at Plum Blossom and everything minus this soup was delicious. I didn’t finish this soup at the restaurant and neither did I finish it when I took it back home as to go. I don’t recommend this soup to anyone.
