Italian cold cuts sandwich at $7.50 was just ok. Not enough cold cuts for the price, bread could have been better, they only added shredded lettuce and sliced pepperoncini, olive oil. At least throw in some red onions or something.
The Italian sub at Victor Jr’s (Culver City) is so much better—great bread, more cold cuts, more toppings. And cheaper at $6.95.
The coffee reeked of ethanol. The beans were more burnt than at Starbucks.
But still in its own way, it’s a good addition to the hood, I mean, what hood couldn’t use an Italian deli. Even though it draws in those Pasadeneans who walk around with an air of I have money and anything that’s pricey must be good.
