4.0I really enjoyed Porto Lounge. The food was great! I recommend the Mussels Vinegrette, Mushroom and philo dough, chorizo with peppers and the shrimp birds nest for tapas. For entrees, the steak is the way to go either with mushrooms or covered with egg and proscuitto. My mother had the filet of snapper it was quite salty. I am not sure of their traditional method of prepartion though, so this may please some palates. I give the food quality 5 stars. do note though: it comes out in due time, if you are the type of people who demand your food 15 min after you sit down then you will be displeased with the service. Their kitchen is very very small, so have a glass of wine or two and be patient, it is worth it! Our waiter Ricky was awesome we had a lot of fun with him he was very sweet and attentive.
Now for the reason why they did not get 5 stars in my rating. The servers were a bit unorganized, but we are a laid back crowd all with a food service background so we are understanding of these situations. When they got it together everything went smoothly. This place is VERY small, with only about 10 tables in the main dining area which is directly in the front of the restaurant. The back of the restaurant is set up nicely with a decent size bar and a few lounge tables which I will most likely be sitting next time I go. Looks nice for a big group that wants to drink hang out and have a few things to pick on as they do so. Finally, and this is worth losing a whole star to me, the lock on the ladies bathroom door does not work!!! That is a big problem! All in all i love this place the atmosphere definitely the food and the servers!
