i can’t believe these ratings. yes, the restaurant is beautiful, but i would only come here to drink. the menu here is catered towards novice sushi eaters. the quality is mediocre.

Started with a seaweed salad that was pretty tasty. It was the typically seaweed salad. The portion was small. The octupus salad wasn’t that impressive. I didn’t appreciate the fruity taste to it.

The RAcker shrimp dish is fried shrimp in a spicy batter with dipping sauce. It wasn’t bad, but the shrimp seemed overcooked to me. They could have used larger shrimp. The calamari was soft and tender. The veggie tempura was also pretty tasty. Both the calamari and veggie tempura were a good size portion.

The rolls weren’t that impressive. Crunchy spicy tuna roll was crunchy but was all cooked. It was not what I was expecting. The special shrimp tempura roll lacked flavor. The rainbow roll was standard.

Sushi: yellowtail & salmon. Both were just average quaility with medium size pieces of fish.

Overall, probably not go again for the price. I’m sure there is better in Houston.

Absolutely delicious and creative sushi selections. The place is very hip and extremely trendy and has several happening locations throughout the country.
