First, let me say this about pizza in general. I have always believed there is no BAD pizza. It’s like sex; some is better than others, but it’s all good.
I have changed my mind.
We have eaten Rick’s Pizza many times in the past. It’s our favorite Lodi Pizza place. About three weeks ago, we raved that it was the best pizza we had ever eaten. The crust was tender, but chewy; the toppings were plentiful, and there was just the right amount of cheese.
About a week ago, we tried Rick’s again. This time, we threw away more than half the pizza, and all of the crust. It was inedible. The crust was thin and so tough, that a steak knife could barely cut it. The toppings were sparse, and there was twice as much rubbery cheese as usual.
We were very disappointed and it will be a long time before we try Rick’s again.

We recently held a dinner at Rick’s Pizza – a party of just over 30. Due to the size, we arranged with them in advance and was given the outside area to hold our event. We were given two servers to take care of our party (Jennifer & Lacy). We received EXCELLENT service and attention, but most importantly, mouth watering, amazing pizza! We all had a great time and everyone thought the food and service was top notch. Lastly, and very importantly, the bill WAS REFRESHING! Thank you Rick’s Pizza – you girls Rocked!!!

Our family has been eating at Rick’s Pizza ever since it came to the Lakewood Mall. Rick & Sue are wonderful owners, the staff is always friendly, and it has a great vibe. 90% of the staff is 18-25 and very sharp. Low employee turnover results in solid service time and time again. Really miss our FAV waitress, Bree! She grew up, got married, and now has a child. It’s like she was family, lol.
You can watch the guys roll out the dough, fling it in the air, and continue to make your pizza. Kids love it!
Two seating areas: The inside with table and chairs, classic booths, and stand alone t&c’s. The side has 2 TVs with sports on, and music is always playing.
The “outside” with round tables & bistro style chairs. NOTE that the “outside” is really inside the mall area. Tall 30’ ceilings and tile floor. Great for group gatherings, birthdays, etc. Can be a little loud at times.
PIZZA- a wide variety offered. The usuall classic pizza toppings, some great combos, make your own, and a tasty Taco Pizza. Our only complaint might be an occassional “too much sauce.”

Great pizza! My favorite pizza is the pesto pizza! Lots of garlic, artichoke hearts, and mushrooms. If you like ranch with your pizza....Rick's has the best!
