206 Sandwich choices on 7 different bread types- overwhelming? A bit! Roy’s place truly is a sandwich lover’s hangout. Complete with a good beer selection and great service, this place is sure to please.
The Food: The sandwiches are very filling, but do not come with sides (head’s up!). Calorie conscious patrons may wish to blindfold themselves! The menu offers up 206 hilariously-named sandwiches; six of which are vegetarian. Ingredients are fresh and your food is made to order. Another plus: Perfectly cooked onion rings!!
The Service: Service can be slow if only because of how long it takes to make a fresh sandwich. Also, staffing during the day can be meager, so don’t freak out if things aren’t happening at ligntning speed! Wait staff are friendly and can offer you helpful suggestions when ordering from the ridiculous menu!
Value: The food here is high compared to what most are used to paying for a sandwich, but for the most part it’s worth it! One sandwich even says ‘Ridiculous name, ridiculous price!’ ringing in @ $24. Keep an eye out for daily drink specials!
Parking: Parking is more than ample. If for some reason the lot is full, plenty of parking is available down the street.
Overall: Roy’s is worthy of a special trip if you’re looking for something new. This has been a staple of Old Towne for 30+ years for good reason! If you’re looking for the ultimate sandwich or just trying to color outside of your normal lines, Roy’s would be worth the gas to check out!
