From OpenTable:

Ruby Foo’s brings the bold flavors of Beijing, Bangkok and Tokyo to Times Square in a big-box setting that is as boisterous as it Broadway neighborhood. Described as “imaginative” by New York Magazine, the 300 seat space and approachable Pan-Asian cuisine is perfect for dinner pre or post show, lunch with clients, brunch with kids, private parties, and any other occasion imaginable. People watch at a Broadway-facing table over pad thai, sample some of the best rolls in the neighborhood at the 20-seat sushi bar, share assorted dim sum at a banquet and finish with a Dessert Bento Box. Tight on time? Take freshly-baked theater treats like Chocolate Chip Cookies and Caramel Popcorn to go. Or, get sushi and dim sum delivered to your door!

Nice Twist

The décor is accented with dramatic lighting that includes lanterns replicated from China’s “Forbidden City.” There is also a gold-leafed Buddha keeps a watchful eye over the guests while they peruse Executive Chef Shawn Edelman’s menu, a collection of delicious dishes from every part of the Asian continent. I started with the Ruby’s Crisp Chicken- lettuce wraps & hoisin dipping sauce ($9.50). It was good as any other lettuce wrap. Then I tried the Dragon Roll- BBQ eel, shrimp, cilantro aioli ($13.00). The ailoi was a nice addition to the taste. Both were very tasting and well prepared. My husband had Stir-fry Filet Mignon- chow fun noodles and black bean garlic sauce ($21.75). He enjoyed they mixture of bean and garlic in the sauce. He was a bit up in the air about the texture of the noodle.

My salmon rolls were as good as any and I liked that my friend’s California rolls were made with real crab. The best part of our meal was the peanut butter and chocolate desert. The decor was a little over the top and the server ignored us for most of the night. I don’t think I’d come back.

Went during Restaurant Week (thank goodness), the food was okay – sorry it wasn’t groundbreaking so I think it’s a bit pricey. Great service and environment. If you go here, I highly recommend the Monster Maki Roll & Chocolate Raspberry Cake.

The food is great tasting and the place is beautifully decorated. I tried the sesame crusted tuna and it was amazing. I heard the sushi rolls there aren’t shabby either. I will go there again.

Great classics and new twists on old favorites. The soups are huge so be prepared to share, but otherwise this place has been a wonderful lunch with friends or date location since I’ve been a little girl. Don’t miss the dumplings!

I went here once. I waited 50 minutes for the pad thai I ordered, which was inedible when it finally arrived. Completely bad restaurant. I think this is another Isabella restaurant (same owners).

Great Food and Great Atmosphere

This place is one of my favorites because I can get in and out fairly fast. It’s within walking distance of Broadway and if I tell them I’m running late, they get my food out to me right away. Their Asian cuisine has a unique twist and…

Touristy, but Good Food

I went to see "Rock of Ages" on Broadway. It rocked. I ended up here, cause I wanted some sushi. It is really touristy, over-priced. The food was very fresh and tasty.

Delish food! We stopped for lunch yesterday and had some very tasty dim sum. Service was terrific. We plan on going back soon.
