Ruby Tuesday is probably one of the better fast-food chain restaurants. I have never had serious complaints about the food; however, it was less-than-mediocre on this one occasion. I had four major problems on this particular visit:

1. The salad bar, which is generally delicious, was horrible. They were out of many ingredients and many of the items did not look fresh. At other locations I have been to, employees were constantly freshening-up the bar ingredients and making sure it was presentable. Not this time.

2. The flavoured lemonades are generally sweet, yet pleasantly tart and refreshing at the same time. The cherry lemonade I ordered on this occasion was way too sweet and not fizzy. There was too much artificially flavoured cherry syrup and not enough club soda or lemon flavor added to it.

3. The fries had too much salt/pepper seasoning and were unpleasant to eat.

4. The broccoli cheddar soup arrived lukewarm and with an unappealing “skin” on the surface.

Despite the negatives, there was one (yes, one) positive: our server was friendly and attentive.
