I tried 3 items on there dessert menu. First, I got one of their black and white cookies. It was a large pyramid looking shortbread like cookie with black and white icing. It just the right consistency for that type of cookie, not too crispy or soft. It had just the right amount of moistness if you can use that term to describe cookies. I thought it certainly lived up to the reputation I had heard about them.

I also got an eclair filled with vanilla custard-like filling and covered with white icing. I’m not a big eclair fan, but this one was really tasty. I let it sit for a day before trying it so the pastry was slightly soggy but not bad for having sat around for one day in the frig. The custard wasn’t too sweet and had a very smooth consistency. The sweetness from the icing perfectly complimented the custard filling.

The last item was a fruit tart with a vanilla filling and berries on top. Although it was a tasty treat, it just didn’t seem like anything special. The filling was creamy and again slightly sweet. I think I would have like it to be a bit sweeter for this dessert.

Overall, the desserts were tasty and I’m certainly glad I had the chance to try them out, but for some reason I don’t think I’m going to crave any of them like I do some desserts. But I would pick some up for a special occasion for others to try.
