this is definitely my favorite happy hour pick in bellevue (and one of my favorites anywhere!). we always come here when we feel like eating burgers — it is seriously a GREAT burger (cooked medium/medium-well unless you specify otherwise) and at $2.95, really, what a great deal!

the atmosphere of the bar area is split into two parts: one is more bar-ish, with games playing on the tvs, and the other half is classy steakhouse — white tablecloths and rich woods (quite a classy dining experience all in all!). furthermore, the waitstaff has always been super courteous and helpful everytime i’ve been there!

When ever I arrive here with a reservations on time, my party and I always had to wait an extra 5-10 minutes for our table to be ready. I thought the point of making a reservations was so they would have everything set up by that particular time. I have been to a few ruth chris steak house around the world. I think the one in Bellevue, lacks in the service and quality of food somehow just doesn’t taste as good.

I think the lobster bisque definitely was the biggest disappointment. When the waitress asked how the food was, I told them my disappointment with the bisque and she sent out the manager. The manager challenged me with a bunch of questions as if it was my first time having the soup, which I thought was a little rude… Though at the end they took it off the bill….

OK… The good first. We had Filet Mignon and Lamb Chops. Both were excellent and up to the expected standard of Ruth’s Chris. This is where the good ends.

The bad is that the service was comparable to Denny’s. Had we gone to Denny’s, we probably would have saved about $200 of the $240+ price of this dinner and I’m certain that the service would have been quicker and more appropriate to the menu.

Service was slow, apologetic, inconsistant, and we were somewhat patronized. We were lied to.

There are far better choices in the area — McCormick & Schmicks, and several others within walking distance from the Westin or Hyatt are proven establishments.

Avoid this Ruth’s Chris! Good food, but terrible service!

happy hour has some great prices — i mean 2.95 for a burger and 4.95 for a steak sandwich… really isnt that bad, especially when it tastes really good. i recommend the steak sandwich — maybe 2 since these prime rib filled sandwiches are the size of White Castle burgers. the only down side is you have to order 2.75 worth of drinks, and the only HH beer on tap is bud light.
