i’ll drive all the way to portland from seattle just to have dinner at saburo. It’s that good. not forgetting the wait which is usually 30-40 mins coz they don’t take reservations. But when you’re seated down and the ginormous sushi arrives it all seems worth it. the size of the sushi may seem vulgar but in no way is quality compromised so i’m not complaining either.
the freshest and hugest size of salmon on bits of sushi rice. everytime i eat 2 of these i feel like i’ve eaten my share of salmon sashimi for the rest of the year. :P
they use real pieces of crab on top the sushi rather than the pink fake ones. Quite unique i though.
yumz. the unagi is grilled to perfection and not too fatty.

Best sushi anywhere. Period. Not to mention the value. Even the $1 bowl of miso soup seems like a steal. Nowhere will you get larger cuts of fish atop a mound of rice. You’ll take at least two bites to eat any piece, only the chefs at the counter will rib you for not downing them in one mouthful. Worth the inevitable hour wait.
