The food here is exquisite and the atmosphere is ideal for completely immersing oneself in the glorious textures, flavors, colors and scents of the fish and delicate, fresh spice and condiments of the sushi. The prices are not outrageous, but they are coming pretty close. The high cost in combination with the inattentive and slightly perfunctory service disqualifies this restaurant from a five-star rating.
I would definitely go back for the sushi on any day I felt like opening my wallet wide. I’d say it’s a great destination for a romantic evening out with someone adventurous. I wouldn’t go with someone who wouldn’t want to try the Tako, O Toro & Uni!
Uni (sea urchin roe) is one of those things that can be really inconsistent. The price here isn’t unusually high, but the quality sure was. I ought to withhold judgement until I get to taste it again…
Seattle is the place for Tako (octopus) and Saito seems to be the place for the best in town. I hope to go back for more of this tasty treat!
An extremely pricey treat, but worth trying at least once! I haven’t seen this offered anywhere else in Seattle. It has a variety of textures, so don’t order it if ‘slimy’ is potentially offensive!
