Saladang Song
I discovered this place when I was attending culinary school. My Thai friend introduced me and I have been hooked ever since. Each dish has its own unique flavor starting with the fish cake. They are very aromatic as the kaffir lime leaves and the red curry gives this dish a nice flavor. Next is the fried taro roll which I had never had before but now I’m in love. It’s encased in an egg roll wrapper and deep fried served with cucumber salad and a nice plum sauce. The Yum Nua has all the components of what Thai cusine should be: bitter, salty, spicy, sweet and pungent and it’s great. The Pad kee mao ped is a nice change after having all the flavors that Thai cuisine has to offer. If you get a chance to get to Saladang and can try only one thing, order the fish cakes! You can’t go wrong with this place’s great dishes, attentive service, beautiful setting and very reasonable prices.
