This place gets 4 stars for the tiny buns and the prices alone. The food, ambience, and service isn’t spectacular otherwise, but it’s worth going to over and over for the reasons mentioned above.

I’ve gotta disagree with teh last 2 reviewers’ ratings. This place does not deserve 5 stars. The soup dumplings are definitely not as good as Joe’s. I just go here because there’s less of a wait, it’s fairly new in Chinatown so that means it’s cleaner and the food doesn’t absolutely suck. There are some dishes that need improvement like their aromatic noodles and the chow mein. Speaking of chow mein, anybody know where I can get some really good chow mein?

Totally in agreement of the last reviewer. Service is awful, but the food is great and really cheap too. You can leave being full off of their delicious over rice dishes for $3.50. Things to try there are the Lo Mein noodles, which are surprisingly made of Udon noodles, which are the thicker fatter noodles and the Soup Dumplings are pretty darn good too.

its open late so its good . one of the better places to get soup dumplings IF you can’t afford joe’s shanghai. one of the better decor’s of chinatown. the only thing bad about it is the service. EVERYTIME. no its not a coincidence, they really are bitches. great price, but minimum of $10.

Better than average xiao long bao, and the prices are great.

Been there a few times and the food is decent. However, the service is nothing to brag about. Customers get yelled at across the restaurant about where to sit; also, you get scolded for ordering 2 dishes (pan fried noodle and dumplings) to share amongst 3 women. There are plenty of other Shanghai restaurants with much friendlier hosts and tastier food eg. Joe shanghai. Would NOT recommend this place.
