We have eaten at this restaurant numerous times over the years and I have to say the past few times have not met expectations. Our LAST visit was July 6, 2012. We were there between lunch and dinner so we walked right in and were seated. The food was barely warm and WAY overpriced for the same meal you could get at a local cafe. We drove from a campground about 40 miles from there to have a good meal and were very disappointed and decided that this visit would be the last. Also, the whole place looks more “rundown” than I’ve ever seen it. Not the place I’ve bragged about and brought people to for years. Definitely needs some “sprucing” up. So, we’ll find another place to eat.

If you are looking for a fine dining experence, this is not the place for you.
If you what good old fashion country cooking, come on up.
Shatley Springs Inn (the full name) serves plain old time meals, without all the bells and whistles. Order individually from the menu or order family style and get platters and bowls of meat and vegetables, all you can eat.
There are a few cabins for rent behind the restaurant, plain and simple bed and bath, check them out before you rent to see if they are up to your standards.
Fried chicken, country ham, mashed potatoes, creamed corn, pinto beans, cole slaw, boiled cabbage, hot buttered biscuits, and cobbler with ice cream.
