4.0I had clam chowder, both New England and Manhattan style. They were excellent, if not the best. The diced clam meat was tasty and tender. The raw clams were juicy and fresh. The batter for the fried oyster was just right. However, the grouper finger was not fresh, dry, rubbery and had little meat. One of the worst fish fingers I had had in many many years. The soft shell crabs were small and the batter was too crusty (although the same batter went well with the juicy oysters).
The prices were inexpensive: clam chowder $3 a cup; 1/2 dozen raw clam $5; most dinner platters $13 with 2 sides.
I will definitely go back when I visit Atlantic City, New Jersey.

Very bad. Just don’t order it. Period.

4.0sure its small, a bit dirty and open to the elements, but the food is DAMN good. baked or fried, you can get the various assortments of fish in a number of different sauces. food is good and pretty cheap, but be warned, cash only and the wait in season can be pretty long from what i’ve heard. Still, we will definitely be frequenting this place again next time i’m down the shore. also – BYOB
