This place has been there so long that I believe it was Adam and Eve’s first restaurant experience. Friendly waitresses and excellent food make this my first stop whenever I’m in that area. I’m a soup lover, and Snyders makes the best in town. Don’t expect anything too fancy here, just good food and fair prices.
This one item is enough to keep me coming back forever. This place makes the biggest, most delicious fish fry sandwich anywhere in the capital district area. With all the fish fry stands in this area, you wouldn’t expect to find the best one at a place like Snyders, but wait till you try it. It appears to be Haddock, cut on the premises to about 1.5 times the size of a normal fish fry, lightly battered, then deep fried to perfection and placed on a tasty hot dog bun (too small for the fish) and topped with tartar sauce or (preferably) their home made chili sauce. One bite and fish will become your favorite food. This is the place to be on a Friday.
