Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day…. but I hardly ever have time to eat it. So when I choose a place for breakfast/brunch, I be sure to choose wisely. Southern Kitchen offers excellent food with great service and will not disappoint.
The food here is GOOD and the portions large enough to really fill you up. I pretty much ate until the brink of throwing up, and I still wanted more!
The service is super friendly where they’ll even get down on a knee to take your order.
The place is pretty small and gets pretty crowded. We came around 1pm (I guess that’s not really breakfast or brunch anymore), but anyways there was still a short 10-15 min wait for a party of 2.
I would highly recommend this place if you’ve got a craving for a good hearty breakfast with service to keep you smiling.
Good by itself. Even better with butter and honey. mmmm
I thought the banana would be baked into the bread somehow. But it’s actually regular french toast with a whole sliced fried banana on top. Then covered with powdered goodness. Douse it with syrup and enjoy!
Biscuits, gravy, sausage, egg, and hashbrowns. oh my!

Get here early or be prepared to wait. The french toast is great, and so is the artery-clogging “breakfast of champions” (two pancakes, three strips of bacon, three sausages, three eggs and hash browns). I subbed the regular pancakes w/ banana-blueberry and got linguica instead of sausage. While you’re waiting, stop by Icing on the Cake and get a slice of their pumpkin loaf- mmmm.
